CCTV

CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) is a visual surveillance technology designed for monitoring a variety of environments and activities. CCTV systems typically involve a fixed (or "dedicated") communications link between cameras and monitors.

There are a number of different products available now a days to watch what you want to watch and in the environment you want to monitor in, be it in a barn to monitor your cattle, horses or other livestock. Or you want to monitor your farm yard site or business location locally or remote to see who is coming in and out and what time of day or night and if anything is being borrowed with out your permission, the reasons are endless on why you want to monitor your investment.

Cameras now a days have the capability of seeing in total darkness with the aid of Infrared LEDs, these are coming to be very popular as they are able to see about 20 meters away.

Outdoor cameras with what we call a Varifocal lens allows you to adjust the field of view you would like to see within a set value like 9-22mm. Which means you can have the camera mounted at your house and watch a shop door that is 80 feet away and the field of view the camera sees is 19 feet which gives you a really good image. If you have light at the shop door you will be able to see good detail compared to a camera that has a 3.6mm lens which offer about 85 degrees field of view and what the camera see at that distance is 99 feet wide, which is too wide to make anything out except general movement on where some one is going. You would not be able to get any facial or important information especially at night as you would need a lot of light for this type of coverage.

Now that you have a camera what do we do with the images? Most people want some sort of storage of it so they can go back to it when you notice something is wrong or missing. It will allow you to follow the events. With the onset of technology and with the annoyance of VCR tapes and trying to remember to replace the tape or to remember to press the record button most people prefer to go with the Digital Video Recorder (DVR), and with the amount of storage you can buy now a days for the price and convenience, it is no wonder why the DVR is so popular not to mention the search features by date and time. With most you can set them to only record when there is motion, or you can have it record on a schedule or both, this saves a large amount of space on your hard drive to be used for when something triggers the DVR to start recording. The DVRs will record over the oldest recorded images so it will keep recording until you want to review the images.

As you can see there is a wide selection of equipment to monitor the areas that are most important to you, so we sale a number of different cameras and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), we select the best one that fits your budget and requirements.
